Goal: Get your skin in shape this January!

Over-indulged a bit (or a lot) this holiday season? Time to hit the gym, start walking or find other ways to tone up and lose some weight. But what about our face? Too much salt and sugar can really impact our skin. Just like our bodies become soft and droopy so does our faces. It’s the perfect time for a Meridian Sculpting Facial, only offered in Bastrop at  Cherry Blossoms Spa. This facial aims at toning and lifting our sagging skin and particularly focuses on sculpting your facial contours. It does this by draining stagnant lymph with a special, ancient technique using a gua sha stone made out of jade. This special facial also improves the circulation and texture of your skin and helps with softening expression lines. And, of course,  like all of our facials, it is an excellent way to relieve stress and tension.

Once you have experienced this facial we highly recommend you prolong the results by using one our bestsellers, the Collagen Peptide Serum by Le Mieux, a wonderful creamy serum which uses a potent blend of 6 skin-contouring peptides, moisture-binding hyaluronic acid, nourishing ceramides and firming marine algae extract.

Schedule your appointment soon and ask for this facial by name. You will be glad you did.

Looking for a safe, noninvasive way to improve your skin? Celluma light therapy may be just what you are looking for. Reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and by using NASA’s technology, light therapy uses wavelengths to stimulate fibroblasts that increase collagen and elastin. This is pain free and relaxing.

For the quickest results, 3 sessions are recommended per week for 4 weeks. Each session is 30 minutes. Of course this time commitment isn’t for everyone, so we highly recommend at least twice a week but results can be achieved once a week.

Sessions are $40 each or during our October Special, you can purchase 4 and get 1 free or purchase 6 and get 2 free.

The Biomat will be included at no charge!

Give us a call to schedule your first session. 512-332-2600

I love all things Fall and I especially look forward to the pumpkin skincare products. Pumpkin is loaded with minerals and antioxidants that the skin is able to absorb and use. It has high enzymatic content that resurfaces and exfoliates skin cells, increasing the turnover rate, which leads us straight to glowing skin! All skin types can benefit from pumpkin as it strengthens it with antioxidants and vitamins. With its megadose of Vitamin A, you see the increased cell turnover rate. Zinc benefits the acneic clients with problematic skin and dry skin drinks in the fatty acids that our bodies cannot produce on their own. One of the best benefits is the reduction of hyperpigmentation (brown spots or freckles) comes from the enzymes that love to digest melanin and dead melanocytes, bringing them to the surface to be sloughed away. But I have to be honest, I love the way it smells and feels on my skin. The Rhonda Allison Pumpkin Cleanser & Toner as well as the Pumpkin E Serum  are all available at the spa. We hope you enjoy them as much as we do. And don't forget the Pumpkin Facial, which kicks it up just a bit, to get the fall season on its way.

We've all done it. The 10 second cleanse. Lather, spread, remove.

And then, have you ever put some toner on after your cleanse and found makeup on the cotton ball?

Cleansing is the first step to healthy skin. Washing away the days dirt and oils along with

makeup is a process. You have to choose a well formulated cleanser. Choosing an effective cleanser can make the difference in how dry your skin is or how acne responds to it. A general rule of thumb to choose between a milk and a foaming cleanser is go with the milk cleansers if you are dry and the foaming gel cleansers if you are oily.

The video will demonstrate an effective cleansing routine.

Sunscreen is a worthwhile investment that protects the skin from harmful rays. The ingredients in sunscreen vary from product to product but what they have in common is that they expire. It is tempting to keep last years product that has that tropical aroma calling you outdoors, after all, it wasn't cheap. But beware, you are risking the health of your skin if you aren't mindful of the expiration date. Protect your skin and enjoy your summer.
